The people look a lot darker and dirtier. Lucy claimed that they were part Indian. I will try to digitize the picture. They moved to Newton County, Arkansas in the mid 1800's. Her great grandson was Alvis Lewis from Madison County, near Aurora! Thanks for another link in the chain. Th...Really got to double check on these old photos. There's one out said to be of Chief Redbird, except that Chief Redbird lived and died before the advent of photography, and the headdress that is being worn is the western war bonnet, which eastern natives didn't wear -- their headdresses were more like turbans. Genealogy is hard. So many people just want to copy other's work. There's a photo supposedly of my great grandmother's mother Eliza Muncy with Henry Morgan on Ancestry. Turns out the other adult woman in the photo is my grandmother. Eliza died five years after my grandmother was born, so how can the both of them be in the same photo as adults? People see what they want to see and stop there.Lyn Hackerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06496492330798691129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4452705445523942432.post-34278933875395972222018-10-21T14:37:31.858-07:002018-10-21T14:37:31.858-07:00I've even seen it said it was of the Asher fam...I've even seen it said it was of the Asher family.
